Well hello everyone!
The hiatus of summer is finally over! Youth has officially started, and I have to say, it feels great!
Kickoff was awesome! It was a lot of fun canoeing with you all. There were lots of new people out, and I want to say thanks to all who came out to join us. And how awesome was Ardyn's baptism?!? So cool.
So what next?
This week, we begin our Jr High events with an exciting and mysterious game of Clue! And not the board game, but a life size version of Clue where the rooms in the church become rooms from the game.
We have played this in the past, and we have a few new twists to add this time around! And parents, if you are interested, you are welcome to help out with this event. Just let me know by Thursday, and I will give you specific instructions!
For the new parents and youth, our Jr. High events begin at 7 pm and finish at 10:00 pm. Drop off and pick up is at the church.
Next week, Sr. Highs start off right with a game of Mantracker! This is a version of our classic awesome game "Running Man", but with some slightly different rules. The area will be a bit smaller, and the distance will be a bit shorter. The single objective it track down, hunt, and capture the few runners. Use strategy, use speed, but whatever you do, you must not let them get away. Awesome. The more the merrier for this sevent, so invite friends!
Sr. High events go from 7-10:30 pm. We will meet at the church for this event.
180 (Bible Study) will begin this Wednesday at the Schuman's house (email me for location). This runs from 7-9 pm. We study together, and we eat together.
I would really encourage you this year to NOT MISS THIS! We are going through the book of Acts together and this may be one of the most challenging studies we have done together. This Wednesday we are looking at Acts chapter 1 together. Also my devos on Friday Nights will come right out of the book of acts and the studies we are doing together. Like I said, you don't want to miss this year's bible study. I'm really pumped about it!
What else do you need to know? Well, I'm glad you asked! Just a note that for October, the events are all pushed back by a week so that there will not be youth on Thanksgiving weekend, in case your family has plans. If your family is against thanksgiving, then enjoy some roast instead of turkey (or perhaps some Tofurkey) and we will see you the third weekend in October (or at least on Sunday's and Wednesdays)!
Oh! One more thing...If you have checked out the website, then you have seen that there will be a special announcement coming in October. Be there for more details.
See you soon!
Justin
