Well happy 2009~!
It's a new year and lot of new things on the horizon for all of us!
I hope this year will be full of lots of God's blessings.
Now, let's talk shop for a bit.
You are probably wondering what is going on this year for events! Well, me too!
As you may (or may not) already know, we have two planning meetings a year to discuss what events we want to be having throughout the year. The January meeting will be on Tuesday night (January 13th) at 7-9 pm in the Sr high room.
-~ACK!~~ I just dropped my candy cane on the floor and it busted into a million pieces (well, I don't know if it was EXACTLY a million...I stopped counting after three.)
-anyhow,
yes, a planning meeting. And of course youth are invited to these events, because the goal is that these will be fun events for you!
So please come out and bring some great ideas!
THIS WEDNESDAY
we kick off 2009 by stepping right back into our study through the book of Corinthians. I'm going to try and ask you a question that I want you to think about in advance if possible: "What things about Christianity confuse you, seem unclear, weird, or just plain bug you?" I want to collect some answers and perhaps create some bible studies based on those things, and be honest about it! You can email me or I will try to have some blank paper at one of the coming studies for you to fill in anonymously.
THIS FRIDAY -DOUBLE (Grades 7-12) ***PICKUP IS AT 10:00 pm for this event!!!****
we kick in the second weekend of 2009 (i know it's a stretch) with tobogganing! Woot! Do they still call it that? Perhaps I should call it (air quotes)sledding(air quotes). Regardless, we will be meeting at Seven Hills (on St. Vital ave across from the catholic church) at 7pm. Following freezing- I mean sledding, we will be walking over to St. Thomas Street Cafe on well, St Thomas Street for some hot Chocolate! Sound awesome! It will be! See you there! DRESS WARM!!! AND REMIND YOUR FRIENDS TO DRESS WARM TOO!!
**also we will have a truck for you to put your sled into so you don't have to carry it all the way to the coffee shop lol.

Well, since the meeting is on Tuesday, I will email you the full schedule on Wedneday. That will include the year as well as any details for that friday evening. Sorry about the late notice, but you can be assured we will have youth, and it will be fun, and it willbe from 7-10 pm at the church. Awesome.
