Rain

Hey all!

Good news! It's going to rain!!!

I was just saying to some friends the other day that I can hardy wait for it to start raining. Now, don't get me wrong, I am NOT a rain fan. However, the rain will accomplish a few things: It will clean the streets a bit, it will melt the last of the snow, and most importantly, it will clean the snow mold, dirt and dust off the grass so that it can start growing again.

Because that's the real reason, I love green grass!

As I was praying this morning, I thought about how that is so similar to our lives with God. We have to deal with "rainy" times in our lives in order for God to work in us to reveal His glory through us. I know there's a billion analogies for this already, but that's because it is such an important thing to remember and not lose sight of.

The tough and weary times we drag ourselves through are times that remind us that we must fully rely on the Lord for His strength. When we are weak, then He is strong. So if the weather (or any other circumstance) threatens to bring you down today, rest in God's strength and let Him be strong in your weakness.

"I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak..." –Ezekiel 34:16
