Good day!
Cold and wet, but still good.
I trust that your week has been good. Some of us went to Harvestmoon on the weekend. There were a lot of bands and great weather the whole weekend. I got to do some magic too which is always fun. My favorite artist was Riley Armstrong, followed by the poet Bradley Hathaway. Very cool. Also I learned a new word: Screamo…..
I think I am getting old.
Alex Schuman and U-Turn Presents: RISK: Schoolyard domination
Well, as you all know, our kick-off this Friday, we are playing a HUGE game of RISK. If you have never played it, love it, or hate it…YOU WILL LOVE THIS! It is going to be really awesome with a need for lots of strategy. If you don’t like running, there will be plenty of sneaking, if running is your thing, you had better be quick! There will be something for everybody in this fast paced, incredibly challenging, super fun game. The more people we have the better the game will be, so bring lots of friends! What a great opportunity to invite those friends who did not come last year. I know you’ve got somebody in mind! Invite them. Snacks after and I will be sharing a short devo.
****** The weather will be very cold on Friday!!! Dress warm!!! (Like I’m talkin’ scarf, mittens and toque kinda warm!)*******
180 Bible Study – Presents, prayer, cults, and girls…
Well tonight we are having the first 180 of the year! We won’t be getting into anything too heavy tonight, mostly some games and food. Always good. Come to see everyone together again and hear more about spiritual gifts. We will also be discussing some of the future studies such as prayer, cults, and relationships.
Leadership
Just some meeting reminders:
Student Leadership Team meets for the first time THIS FRIDAY @ 6:00pm sharp.
Youth Sponsors, reminder that we will be praying at 6:40 on Friday before the kick-off.
Youth Sponsors meeting, Sunday 17th just after church for 1 hour. If someone wants to help make sandwiches or something, that would be great. Let me know.
My internet is down today, so I can’t check my email. Sorry!
You are all awesome!
In His Grip,
Justin
