Well hello my busy friends,
Most of you are keeping very busy this summer. Others, well, you’ve been busy relaxing. Either way, I hope you have found some time to kick back, relax, and do something fun this summer.
It has been a while since I emailed, but most people are away and too busy to sit and read ramblings from me. But today there is lots going on here that I’m very excited about.
As many of you know September is right around the corner. We have a lot of you going into grade 12 this year! What a big year for you! If there is anything I can help you with this year, let me know. Also we have many new students coming from grade six into grade seven and joining the youth group. How exciting! I am really looking forward to having these new faces. But it is up to you to make these new comers feel welcome and accepted. It can be intimidating being the youngest in a large group!
Kick-off Event is coming soon! September 8th! Start talking to your friends and getting them excited about it. The event is a secret until one week before. This is a great opportunity to bring friends who have never been to church before. It is a save environment for them to get to know some other people, have a crazy time, and most importantly hear the reason we exist. Even now, pray for those who will be coming to this event. Pray that the Holy Spirit will work in their hearts and change them forever. What a mighty God we serve!
The cat is out of the bag! The word on the street is that we will be studying ‘spiritual gifts’ at 180 in September. And no that’s not like a Bible with a ribbon and bow around it… Get ready to come and find out more.
Student leadership training will begin soon. There will be a meeting to get info and sign up on Aug 30th. Woot.

Don’t forget about the Flemings farewell. Come to the open house held in their honor @ the Schuman’s home
And YOUTH SPONSORS (if you’ve read this far!) there is a planning meeting on Aug 23rd! Youth are invited to give input on what sort of events you would like to see this year.
